I need help trying to set up Send Effects in the AUX send/return section of the main Pulsar mixer - the one in SFP 3.1.

Everytime I try this I just get no signal to the sends/returns and then I lose the ASIO connection with Cubase and have to restart both environments.
Hmmm... so much for being a "Pulsar Geek" LOL
I have tried reading the Mixer Tips and Tricks on the Creamware site and I have to say I just don't understand it....
Any takers?

ehr.. what exactly do you mean? Connect the FX to eg. Aux send 1 and 2 of the mixer. Activate the sends. Connect the output of the FX to Aux return 1 and 2, activate and put volume up.. there you go.

What has Asio to do with this? Please specify the problem!

Regards.. Manoah

Here's a screenshot of an example project.
[Edit] Put up a link instead of showing the jpg.

Please explain a little more about the ASIO and Cubase crashes, if they are still apparent.

What's ASIO got to do ...got to do with it... what's ASIO but a second hand emotion.
Yup, that's what I'd like to know...
I was after an explanation for dummys..... because basically I get no sound thru ASIO when I connect effects to the AUX
page of the mixer and nothing will bring it back apart from quiting Cubase and then
starting a fresh SFP project

WOW - thanks for the screenshot atOmic.
That is exactly the level of help I needed.
So far looks exactly as I have tried, the only difference being my mixer (in the modular/routing view - not the mixer itself) has 4 x Aux outs along the bottom and 4 x returns along the bottom left side.....
but when I connect them - Sizzle pop fzzt goes my ability to hear anything played and there is no signal reaching the AUX sends.
Just tried it while writing this message and it still doesn't work... DAMN.
Any effect I plug-in, internally, just doesn't get a signal and all I get is the unaffectd sound. Anything I try and plugin externally just stops output completely.
I'm stumped.

I will try to explain everything a little better.
I have my projects setup to bounce most
of my Pulsar work to disk from within
Cubase.
I use, for the most part, only one stereo
Pair of ASIO - and send that back to Cubase so I can record it to disk.
My Pulsar 1632 mixer defaults to the
"External" setup in the AUX page.
If I change this back to Int (internal) -
then I get no sound -
ie. everything will be playing back thru my monitors until I click the "Int" button to try and insert some effects. Only the AUX
page of the mixer is affected. Inserts work as expected on any of the normal mixer channels.
I'm trying to save DSP and set up a bunch of send effects that I like to use regularly.
But so far, it just doesn't work.
If I leave the AUX page set to "External" and plug in some Pulsar effects, I get
the same result with the audio signal just
disappearing..
The LEDS in the AUX Send/Return show no activity, despite the regular mixer channel showing me that there is audio
output.. There is something wrong in the
mixer routing path... ie from the mixer channel to the AUX.
Does this make sense?.... Basically,
I just can't get a signal routed to the AUX
Send/Return channels and then back out to the master.

I encountered the same bug once. Since I didn't feel like making the project all over I tried this workaround:
I used the external effect modules in the aux insert slots. It did work.

Well I'm glad to hear I wasn't the only one in the "known universe" that had the problem.
Simply deleting the mixer from the project and reloading a fresh mixer back in solved it.... So glad I didn't go for the old "Reformat and reinstall route"
