Created by our team of developers including Huicholity and Azymute, the D-Comp emulates the behavior of classical compressors with easy setup and instant gratification.
“Just turn up the gain pots and you’re done !”.
The compressor section is followed by a brick-wall style limiter for up-to-date sound and optimized gain structure.

And the big news is that this new plug-in is FREE of charge.

There is still a bug in this version (we need some little help from CW about that !) :
The presetlist is not active but all your settings are saved with your project.

Sorry for this temporary inconvenient...

Loup

Sounds and looks great!
Why doas a single compressor takes screen-space like a 14-track micromixer???
Anyway, thanx,
nice sound.

That way it's easier to operate, in my opinion.

About the XTC mode :
As the devices are released "as-it", they are not prepared for real XTC mode (I mean with *.dll file and so...).
If you want to use them in XTC mode, you should use the MultiFX M and S to have access to your 'effects' folder of SFP.
They are working here (both M and S) like this on Cubase.
hope this help...

Loup

This is absolutely brilliant. The front end is quality and it's easy to use.... and why can't all the devices on pulsar have the same meter response as this little fella!?

Top notch stuff!

Hhmm, I´m not talking about big wheels or VU-meters...
If I´m mixing, im not interested into fixed and unuseable grafix that boost the size of a single compressor into mixers-size...
Have a look to PowerCore EQ-sat...
Simple but easy to use (and small)...

hi d-mute,
if you are renaming a xtc.dll into d-compressor-m, you are abled to use your compressor as a real xtc-efx.....
(you have to copy your device to SFP/XTCDevices)
unfortunately, it works with "m"-version only
but again:
nice sound!

blacksun : yes i know that ! BUT the devices are not created to be compatible with XTC like this so it's little bit "lucky" if the Mono version is working in XTC like this.
With InsertFX it works good...

This works rather well, I'm impressed!
People, get this. It's one of those things where you don't really know what exactly is going on.. but you know it makes things work.

hi d-mute,
is there a reason why your devices are not xtc-compatible? in compare to powercore, xtc becomes useful...(for shure it cannot top sfp-mode but...)

thanx for this device. this seems to be the beginning of a new 3rd party area.
by the way:
i like your vu-meter glow effect

Hi d-mute,
nice to see you here with this excellent freeware.
If you need help with your preset-problem, I´m willing: mailto: devices@hamburg-audio.de
It makes sense to create new devices 100% creamware-compatible (preset-list/preset-parameter/xtc) to be ready for noah...

All the best,
Andre

Cool device, nice response time, i'm able to compress alot without to much pumping.. Good...!

Those big knobs are easy to work without and they move with a smooth feel. I like this device! Very useable on track, specialy track that needs lots of compression, have a try on a big bass track... Try to compress the dubsub for example! You'll be surprised!

Hi,
Thanks for these positive responses !
There are more devices on the way...

Blacksun : reason for not making the device xtc-compatible with dll file..etc... ? -->Time ! We have many projects so we need to make some "cruel" selections...and personaly I think the SFP is a LOT more powerful than the XTC mode...Maybe when it would be possible to combine XTc and SFP

Andre Dupke : Are you using the DP 3.13b ? because the presetlist were working good with previous versions of DP but not on this one...

Loup

Yes, your device sounds and works like renesaince compressor by waves. I think it's THE comparison.

It would be perfect if it wouldn't have the back side, too much wasted space. But good look and sound!

Look at the device as on D-Mute's advertisement - everybody wants his ad to be visible and it's free of charge:
1) it's their first device released as D-Mute;
2) They want their Logo to be well known (no harm to us though);
3) Everybody likes to watch backs of their gear (at least I do) - all those XLRs, other sockets
4) ... (you can add more pros if you want)

no more explanation...Samplaire sums up very well our feeling !

If some people are interested, we can make a small D-Comp without the backpanel for xx $
