the in & out font on devices in the routing window has gone all blocky and barely readable. Same with small print on some web pages (e.g. the copyright at the bottom of Google)
Anyone have any idea how i could have sabotaged my computer, & how to fix it?
thanx, W

Hard to tell from here, but have you changed your text size in your browser ? It should probably be View > text size > medium. If it's set to smallest some small type can look odd. But if this were the reason then you'd probably have noticed the text on all websites looking smaller.
Have you gone fiddling in your fonts folder recently ?
The Google page font is Arial - you can't get more dog standard than that. Make sure you still have it:
Settings > control panel > fonts
You should probably have several Arial fonts in there. If not I (or anyone) could email them to you and you simply drop them into that folder and reboot.
It may also be that somehow the default font has changed. Have a look at IE > properties > general tab > fonts. The default webpage font is usually Times New Roman, but maybe it's changed and giving an odd result. This one is a bit of a long shot, but it does also effect non-web documents without a specified font.
You might also want to check that text anti-aliasing is switched on.
But this doesn't explain why something's changed. Done anything odd lately ?

I'd also guess that the font file itself could be corrupt. Check and see if the system disk has no HD errors. Replacing the default font might be a solution. You'll have to find out which file it is though. This happened to my friend a couple of times.
I'm not sure, but if you're on 98, you can run sfc.exe to check if your system files are ok.
