Hi guys,

fortunately I can do my recordings "live" with SX / XTC Mode - my DAW is strong enough

But there is still this xtc-bouncing-problem to be solved. Let me describe it one more time:

1. If I bounce a single instrument (Pulsar or VST or Sampler ...) without any effect, it works just fine. Perfect sound.

2. If I bounce a single instrument with a Cubase or DirectX-effect, it works fine too. Perfect sound again.

3. If I bounce a single instrument (or the whole mix) with just one Pulsar effect (insert or send) I get serious clicks, drops, crackling, etc. It sounds like heavy stuttering. The stuttering is about twice as loud as the original signal. I used the Merge-Out to do this.

What is wrong with XTC-boucing? Is it possible on your systems? Do you have to make a certain setting in the xtc-project or in cubase sx?

Any ideas are welcome.

BTW: my setup is now in Tech Talk - User Setups

Don't bounce, merge!

Or use this plugin:

I think Dolphin said he used the Merge function...?

Anyway, the problem is probably your PCI Latency Time. Go to your Bios setup and change your PCI Latency Time to 128 or even 255. That should do the trick.

Bouncing, as in exporting, is not possible in XTC mode.

Just returned from Skiing (no joke) on the Stubai-Gletscher in austria. Made me recognize that there are other things beside music that are FUN!

As to the bouncing-problem I obviously made the mistake to export. Merge works fine! Thank you for opening my eyes.
