I try to install the software that came with SCOPE card, but the install program says :" This does not work with Windows NT. You should use Windows 95/98"
And I'm using Win XP.

did you use ntfs?

I just think the software you received with the scope card is outdated... Go to the creamware site and download sfp3.1a + 3.1c update...
Not so long ago, scope didn't work on W2K or XP !

Yes, I have NTFS.
I also think it is out-dated. But someone said it is worth installing because there devices that are not part of SFP.

So then, just keep a local copy of the devices directory, uninstall it cleanly, reinstall sfp 3.1, then check the one you don't have, and get then from your previously saved devices directory...
Check if you see FMOne for example, this one doesn't exist no more, but was in older software, keep it!

Wait a minute, I can't install the old version, so I can't know, what devices there are!
Do I really have to install Win98 to extract ScopeSoftware package.... and then just copy the devices to my WinXP SFP folder.

Probably, but you can also check if you cannot get the file directly in the install directory...

No, because the files in installation media are compressed.

Nothing to do with NTFS, he installed the old scope software version (2.04?) which was NOT W2K/XP compatible (like pulsar 2.04), but he wants the devices that were in this old software and are not in new software no more, like dynabus...
Ok, then you'll have to install it on W98, or ask here to scope guys to upload it to you (i'm only pulsarian), then SFP will just ask for your registration...
There is always a way!

If it doesn't install under Win2k/XP and you can't acces the devices in the installation files, you should
1) Make a quick W98 install to get your devices -no tweaks needed, only to rip the old devices, throw them on Cd and dump the W98 again
or 2) ask another Scope user to mail you the files. If you then load them into your SFP, it will ask you for registration keys. Maybe they're allready in your keypack, or else request the right keys from CW.
Sorry for the hassle, but it will give you a better SFP

you might try to install on fat32.

How can that help as it complains about OS, not HD. And the error comes before it asks installation destination location.

If you have a spare partition and Win98 near you, it will take you one hour to get all old devices

btw.
you don“t need to install 98 before. try to run it in the 98 compatible mode under xp.
