Hi and thanks a lot for reading this.

I'm in a big trouble. After formatting and going back to a Norton Ghost image which worked perfectly months ago (it was saved for this reason), I've installed Pulsar 2.04a and now it seems that my download speed is totally fucked up (I get 0.3 K and then it stops after 10 seconds). I remember it was a known bug for older previous versions and that there was a guy on PlanetZ who had the same problem with 2.04a too.
I've uninstalled Pulsar, Power Sampler and the drivers (from Windows System and all that...) gone back to 1.32, but it seems that things haven't changed.
What's your experience? Have you got any ideas about it?

I've encountered the same problem. I made some kind of workaround:

I created two different users in Windows,
1 for Internet and 1 for Studio activities.
On the Internet user, I do not wish to load the Pulsar, so I used TweakAll (available @ http://www.shareware.com) in order to prevent the Pulsar from loading in this user account.

A minor point is that you'll need a different sound card if you want to play sound on this account.

It's not much of a solution, but it works with me.

I might be one of those few guys that reported this problem before. On Januari 30 I mailed support@creamware.de regarding this and I've never received an answer
I'm using Pulsar since early 1999 and never 'bothered' them before. They do send me their newsletters, though
I emailed Paul Tanti at support@creamware.com on Februari 14 and he replied 30 minutes later! He is a very nice and helpful person but unfortunately he couldn't find a decrease in bandwith. Probably because he's on cable and ADSL and I'm on 56K dialup
I am surprised that so few people seem to have this problem too and I hope that Creamware takes care of it with their next update.
