* NOTE * - I also posted this on the Creamware official forum, but I'd like to get some input from you guys too!

---------------------------------------

I'm having this problem since updating to SFP 3.1c - For this example I'll be using the "BlueSynth", but it appears to happen with every other device I try.

1. When using the Live Bar to load a synth, it appears to load and connect to the mixer and midi output (sequencer in my default case) OK. If you look in the routing window, all the connections are there.

2. If you play this synth in Cubase (SX) it recieves midi note information, you hear it play... you can also use pitch-bend.

3. Here is the problem - It does not recieve midi CC information, nor does the midi indicator light on the synth "blink" to connfirm it's getting data, although you still physically hear the notes.

4. This means I can't right click any parameters on the synth, let's say filter cutoff and re-assign them to an external source... when you right click and the dialog appears, but no new incoming value information is shown.

5. If you remove this device (from the live bar) and reload it (again from the live bar), the same behavior occurs. Disconnecting and re-attaching individual midi routing cables in the routing window does not help either.

Now some good news... If you use the routing window like we did in the "old days", everything works just as it should! Same synth, same connections, same settings. Just select and load the synth from within the routing window and it runs fine.

Can anyone else confirm this? It's a small, but really annoying bug! You can easily work around it using the routing window, but then thats defeating the purpose of the Live Bar which I've really come to love.

HELP!

Thanks,

* UPDATE *

This is really odd...

I completely deleted the SFP folder, reinstalled v3.1a, then updated to v3.1c (final version).

The problem was gone at first, now it's back. If you exit SFP then re-start, it's generally OK. Load and unload a couple devices... problem is back again.

This bug is very unpredictable and hard to replicate on a consistant basis, but it is there and does happen just about every session I have.

Any ideas?

Too bad no one else can chime in on this one... none of you have this problem?

I'm the only one?

I've not yet experienced/tried the same. If you make a CC# preset, does it load from the preset list in the LiveBar? Does midi remote work then?
