i cannot understand how to change the presets in pulsar synths... (on 3.1c RC3)
i use cakewalk9 and I simply insert a "patch change message" on my MIDI track with bank=n (n=0,1,2....) and preset=number of preset.
the problem is that sometimes it works, sometimes not!! the funny fact is that if I change the presets from my masterkeybard all works normally!!!

I'm sure that cakewalk outpu t the program change infos because when i change the patches on my external hardware synth all works correcty.
any help!??! please!!!!

I'm not sure whether this will be any help or not. I'm a Cubase user as opposed to Cakewalk but bank and program changes do work on external and soft synths. Sometimes on the Pulsar synths, like you, I find that it doesn't work.
If you are starting off a track and setting up all your patches by sending program changes to a few synths, there is a chance that you are "choking" the changes with too many midi events too close together. Set up 2 or 3 blank bars at the start of your track for setup. Put the program changes in these but space them out by a couple of beats for each instrument, to stagger the changes that are being sent.
I've also noticed that some of the Pulsar synths are slower to change than others.
Another thing that I always do is to make sure that the midi event (program change in this case) is on the same midi number as the device. Cubase often defaults to "1".
I go into key edit, select all events (Ctrl+A) and then chnge all midi events to the device number. Alternatively, again in Cubase I select the track, go into Logical Editor and fix the midi channel for all events.
Finally you could try it one device at a time, allowing for slower synths.
Perhaps one of these ideas will help you

SFP devices: I noticed that before sending pc, a midi bs or manual bank selection is necessary. You have to send bs once, per bank you want presets from.
pre-SFP devices: just send pc, it always works but takes some time to load.
