I keep getting DSP errors, asking do you want to try optimise your project and often it says "Not enough STDM connections".
I get the errors normally when I reach about 75% dsp usage.
I have 3 cards.
1x Scope/SP (old board)
1x Scope SRB (new board)
1x LunaII
I have 5 stdm cables connected like this..

I am running windows 98se and Scope SFP 3.1b.
Any suggestions?
Would swopping the luna card for a pulsar or another SRB card improve matters?
Thanks Tom

I have a similar setup with Pulsar2, Scope SRB and PowerSampler on Mac with no problems. I will state a few obvious things so please don't take offence as you've probably already done all these:
1. Make sure your connectors are firmly in place, give 'em a good wiggle.
2. Maybe give the connectors a clean by spraying some contact cleaner into the STDM connector and then push/pull the connector a cfew times to get any grime off.
3. Connect the boards using the outside connectors leaving the middle one of the three on the ribbon floating (except where you've got three boards, obviously).
NB. Make sure you earth yourself before doing these points.
Other than those physical things I can't really help if it's a software thing I'm afraid as I don't know SFP on PC.
TonyR.
PS. From your diagram I can't tell which board is in which PCI slot, on my Mac the order is Slot1=Scope SRB, Slot2=Pulsar2, Slot3=PowerSampler. Maybe try swapping the Scope SP with the Scop SRB, but always have the biggest DSP boards in the first slots as there can be phase problems with the bigger mixers if you load them over from smaller card>bigger card.

I have the luna in the slot closest to my CPU ( I assume slot1), then the SRB board is 2 along from that, slot 3 and the Scope SP is 2 along from that (slot 5).
Unfortunately I cant move my Scope SP board to slot 1 as it is too long (old style board). I tried switching the Luna and SRB board around but that seemed to cause problems.
I rather suspect it is the fact that the luna card has only 1 stdm connection. Does anyone else have a similar config that could confirm/deny this theory?

Which board is listed in sample-rate-diolog as first?

I don't know if this is correct but my understanding of the way the hardware/software works (which is minimal - how about more detailed info CW?) is that PCI slot one is loaded first and then the rest of the cards are effectively cascaded down, which would in effect mean you've got the wrong card first. Can the PCI order be reassigned in software on PC? Is Slot 5 your last available slot? Can the Scope SP be used in any other slot than Slot 5? You'd probably get more DSP efficiency if you removed the Luna card - worth trying, not as a solution but just to see if the DSPs load better. No doubt you're using your Luna for I/O! Sorry I'm clutching at straws on this as I don't know PCs at all anymore.

Ok it seems my Luna was card 1 and my scope and scope srbs were cards 2 and 3.
I put my Scope SP as card 1 but since this is an old card it wouldnt start since it doesnt support ULLI. I had to set the latency to 34ms.
So now I have put my Scope SRB as the first card, the Scope SP as second and the luna as third. Now I get the ULLI since my SRB board is a new card.
Now I'm gonna cross my fingers and hope for the best

I'll let u know how I get on, thanks in advance if this sorts it out!
yes tony the Luna is required for spdif + zlink IOs.

right well ive been playing with it for an hour or so and successfully filled up all dsps with no stdm or dsp errors.
However Ive just tried to save my project and it crashed! This happens sometimes when I try to save. The error details were ..

Hi,
try to use PCI slots 2,3,4 and not slot 1. Often slot 1 is assigned to the same irq as the AGP-port. Also give all your creamware cards the same irq (BIOS-setup, f.e. irq 10) and don't assign any other card to this irq.
May be this will help you...
Bye

Thanks all for your help.
So far it seems ok, no crashes or dsp errors yet since I changed the order in cset.ini.
Ive added those libraries - thanks sub! lets hope they do the trick.
I've also found a second hand unitor8 which uses the serial port so am gonna dump my usb (midisport) interface. Then I can disable my usb ports which will hopefully mean my scope cards will have irqs to themselves. This should result in improved timing (not that ill notice, I have no sense of timing!)
Cheers all, shall report successes and whine again if it all goes to shit

Your Scope-Board has to be listed first in sample-rate dialog.
Change PCI-Slots or change cset.ini...
I had the same problem.
