This is more of a cubase problem, BUT!

Have just installed SFP 3.1a (A little late I know) from Pulsar 3.01a and I'm running Cubase 5.0 r6 (need to upgrade there too!)

I have (in my default project) got my sequencer midi source connected to both my Pulsar II midi dest and Luna II midi dest. In my windows multimedia setup I have 'Creamware Pulsar 1 midi In/Out' selected as my preffered midi device (Same for play and record) and have the 'Use selected devices' check box checked.

My problem is that when I select 'Creamware Pulsar 1 midi In/Out' in Cubase's Midi System settings, close the dialogue then re-open, Cubase defaults back to 'Microsoft GS Wavetable'.

I can't get it to hold my setting!?!? I can select a midi channel and direct it to 'Creamware Pulsar 1 midi In/Out' and send to note data external devices but I need to send midi timing as well to sync it all up and this won't work until I can map midi output in the Midi system setup to 'Creamware Pulsar 1 midi In/Out'?

Anyone else had this?? Any help would be rool kewl!!

hi,

start > all programs > steinberg cubase > setup MME > there you can select midi port move up or down for default port.

good luck !!!

Well I've upgraded to 5.1 r1 and this has allowed me to select where the sync is being fired off to. (Couldn't do previously)

But I am looking forward to trying this VS. Thanks heaps.

Cheers.

I'm working with this newer version of VST and is bettern than before. There is more stability and FINALLY, the box telling me my dongle was badly connected has gone!
