For the people who´d like to make a donation and to support us people from Dresden to rebuild the city her´s my advice where you could spent your money savely (note that creamware user not only lost their systems but their cw-dealers as well):

Account of the Kulturbüro Dresden:
Nr. 3600707
Bank Number: 850 20 500
Bank für Sozialwirtschaft
Code: Hilfe für Dresden

Zer, my sympathy's with you - it's hard to imagine : I'm sitting here sweating at 30 degrees Celsius and the area 200 miles away is completely flooded

Maybe this can be a small comfort:
if the systems aren't washed away or otherwise un-refindable:
play it cool, they won't die just of water alone.
The minerals may cause short circuits if you just switch them on again. So you have to bath them again several times in distilled water and thoroughly dry them by kitchen tissue and/or little blow by air pressure in between the washing stages.
Start with the expensive parts first, Creamware board, video card, ram, mobo.
Be careful with the powersupply, better exchange this for safety.
Don't use a vacuum cleaner with plastic tube. They generate an enormous amount of static electricity by airflow over plastic !

I hope the thing comes to a stop soon, though forecasts were very pessimistic.

my best wishes to you and your friends, Tom

Yes, it is bad  I saw a picture in the paper of 2 people, who had lost everything - it didn't feel very good.
