I'm sure this subject has been done many times but I can't find it. Anyway, I'll assign a midi slider or knob via midi controller # to a parameter & get the 128 steppy sound. I know in the SFP manual it says this happens but I was wondering if any clever Pulsarians have found a way around this.

only if the data from the knob is run through a dezip module or in the modular 2 you can pass a midi controler through a lowpass filter.

..."dezip module" ? Sounds great!
Where can you get that?

DeZip module? There's one adjustable on Neutron's Sonic Attack. And now I know what it's there for  Cheers.

Most modules do not give a 'zipper' sound. However, if you're using the knobs from eg: a Kawai K5000S, you will get a zipper sound since they skip CC values... if your knob is sending sequential CC values (CC1,CC2,CC3, etc), then it's the device, otherwise it's your controller... Which devices in particular are you noticing this with?

I use the sliders in the Roland JP8000 to assign the filter cutoff in for instance the Blue Synth.

Right. The bluesynth is really old. I would not suggest using it, but instead, if you really like the older "classic" creamware synths, to run over RIGHT NOW to wavelength's website and get the smoothed, much better sounding versions:

So the Blue Synth Hummel fixed that nasty little problem ? I do have that one & it's a Beaut!

Awesome ! It works great! I guess I was always trying this with the wrong synth. Thanks for the help. Are there any other synths or effects that have this problem?
