i keep gretting a communciation error between pulsar 1 and pulsar 2. i try to reload dsp but it never works, same communication error. when i hit "no" the pulsar crashes with a fault in kernel32.dll i ran a modified search to see what has changed and other than my synths this was the only file that came up. i reloaded an old copy from a ghost image but when i start pulsar again the dsp.idx file gets updated to the current date. the only thing that worked recenlty was to import the old dsp.idx file. start pulsar but do not load any projects. then exit. start pulsar again and reload project at that time. when i used this approach i could load my current project. but as the past few days have shown, most likely this error will show up again. any comments or suggestions appreciated.

cheers JD

Is the DSP index, it has the information of all the DSP modules you have installed since the first install.

Your fail has a logic, it has not to much sense to backup Pulsar directory due it does not register the individual software components in the Windows registry files.

I fact making only a Windows backup is enough.
