I have a Pulsar II Plus running with Nuendo.
My question is: if I use the Equalization of the Pulsar Mixer (or plug) or Nuendo Equalization, what is the best way for mixing tracks? Is it correct to think that equalization of Pulsar works not on CPU but on Pulsar card (with DSP Pulsar Card Quality) or
working on Nuendo Eq coulb be the same audio quality?

Thanks to any Reply?

Best Regards

The best way is to use the best sounding eq (in your ears) possible.
Nuendo or Pulsar does'nt matter technically, there both 32 bit float.

And yes you are right that Pulsar eq works on Pulsar DSP.
That is the idea behind the Pulsar card.

Thanks Jupiter8!

Ears are good way of mixing... ok! That' s right 4 me too!
But I' would like to know Yours opinion 'bout the audio quality difference (Nuendo/Pulsar EQ)... If there's one!

Best Regards

All algorythms in Nuendo (latest version) are calculated @ 192 kHz...
(If I´m right?)

I am afraid you are wrong.
There is no technical benefit in raising the samplerate when making the calculations.
Raising the bit depth on the other hand...

As for the differences between Pulsar/Nuendo EQ. There is no technical way that is superior to another apart from using more bits is always better to point where it does'nt matter anymore.

I don't use a lot of EQ. Almost never actually. So i would be the last person to judge different EQ plugs. I really don't know.

I think if you have a pulsar with stm mixer you would be crazy not to use such a perfect sounding system , I never use eq from cubase (don't know about NUENDO)

Sometimes on certain tracks with the bigmixer I would use the sequencer's eq because I just couldn't get the right sound out of the bigmixer's eq. Now with the pulsar/stm mixers I haven't used the sequencer's eq at all. If the STM can't do it, I'll insert the 31EQ or the PSYQ. Pretty much now I only use the sequencer for tracking and automation. And that's the way I like it!

Recently used Creaware eqs plugins and thought they were very nice, very sound altering on slightest movement. Also have Timeworks which are great.Celmo also have 48dB eq which I haven't tried.

I wouldn't use Nuendos or Cubase's EQ's...the sounds is good...but..
I use EQ's and proccesors from Pulsar.
I still think it's the best solution.

indeed I did not realise that not everybody has got the stm mixer, when you didn't get the pro-pack you should really get the mixer package those mixers sound great!!!

good luck
