Hello all,
Last week, a power spike fried my Pulsar II, and Creamware was kind enough to send me a new one. I've been using software version 3.01, but after installing the new card, I was stupid enough to install the updated v3.1 into the same folder where v.3.01 was housed, causing a great, big mish-mash of Pulsar software versions. I uninstalled
everything in those directories, but now I've got a strange problem that I fear can only be remedied by wiping my drive and re-installing Windows and everything else...
Pulsar works for me, however there's a whole lotta plug-ins that give me a registration prompt when I try to open them (ex. Auto-Wah M & S, Softclip M & S, TQ Drive M & S, Midi Pole M & S, Master Flanger M & S, to name just a few) asking me for my software serial number and an activation key for the plug in.
Possibly problematic is the fact that when I registered my new Pulsar II, my activation page did NOT include an updated Pro Pack activation key (since the "Pro Pack" no longer exists), so I had to use my old key.
On the other hand, I recieved no messaging alerting me to incorrect activation keys and everything else seems to be running properly on the Pulsar as far as I can tell.
Is it possible that this has something to do with invalid activation keys? Otherwise, I'm afraid that in my various attempts to install and unistall Pulsar software today I somehow damaged Windows 98 and the only resolution would be to wipe my drive and start over. Before I take this drastic, time consuming, and possibly fruitless step, is there any thing else at all that anyone can offer me as a possible solution?
THANKS,
