from STS manual, page 49, "filter page"

Frequency: Sets the filter cutoff
frequency (range: 0-99). Changes to this
setting are reflected immediately in the
graphic display. Filter cutoff can also be
edited in this display. left-click and drag
horizontally anywhere in the graphic
window.

WHAT THE HELL KIND OF GRAPHIC DISPLAY ARE THEY REFERRING TO??????????????
is there a graphic window to edit the filter setting i never saw????

Yes. Try opening the keygroups window, then click on a keygroup to open the sample window and click on the "Filter" button. This will preset you with a graphical representation of the filter, which you can drag around to change the cutoff point, etc.

i'm sorry, but i cannot manage to reach that graphic filter window.
i run SFP 3.1a, STS3000. can you please be a bit more specific???
i loadeed a sample, opened keygroups, clicked on a sample segion, chose "sample editor" to view the waveform, then clicked on "filter". but no grahpic representation of that....

Yeah I tried it; it's not there anymore, perhaps because w/ the new filter types, the graphic representations no longer work? Or I'm thinking of some other device entirely.
One thing it could be: what version of the STS manual are you looking at? Perhaps the old one, or the manual needs to be udpated to reflect the addition of the new filter types?

I got manual version 3.1, STS-3000 & STS4000 manuals mention it.
Version 3.1 is also mentioned
at Creamware's as latest manual.

we all hope that creamware is working on the next STS sampler generation...
why don't ask to Native instruments for this?!?!
