The whole Emagic thing has got me thinking,
obviously the cards are the same for Mac and
Win, can I just get Mac version of Pulsar
software from creamware or is the software
key tied to the OS the card was bought with?
I'm not planning on moving to a Mac anytime
soon, but when the time comes, I'll probably
stay with Logic (if it still exists...)
Thanks for any info.

You can crossgrade your Pulsar all that you want for no extra fee. You just download the

mac

software and install your Pulsar in a

mac

- when/if you get borred working on a mac, you just go back to windows on a PC. This is one of the few things, that are still free from Creamware - and I guess it will stay that way.

But a pulsar mkI card doesn't work in a mac, or does it?

Cheers for the replies, I'm running a
Pulsar 1 and Powersampler.I didn't fancy ditching 3 DSP cards (UAD as well)just
for crossing over to a mac.I won't be doing
this for at least a year yet, but its nice to
know, thanks again.

Well, I believe (don't know for shure), that I saw

mac versions

for download before the Pulsar2 was out, and I do think some of those where for Pulsar... Maybe someone KNOWS?

Any card will do, except TrippleDAT. It's an ISA bus and PC-only software.

Nice one, this might come in handy for any other Logic user's crossing to Mac.There's
no way I'd ditch my cards for a mac otherwise
BTW, even tho I'm thinking of going to Mac
eventually, it was still a shitty move by
Apple (understatement of the year).
What can you do? Its happened before (Atari)
and it'll probably happen again.
Thanks everyone for the help.
