Can anyone help?
I have a Roland VM 7200 digital desk and use the Pulsar 24 I/O adat card. I use Logic Platinum 5.13.
I am using the Scope fusion software for the Pulsar (v 3.1a)
I have to set the desk as Master and the pulsar as slave for it to work properly on the digital I/Os but still get regular intermittent clicks on audio which makes audio recording impossible.
I have tried everything I know.
Setting the desk as slave and pulsar as master just does not work.
I fear I may have to buy a dedicated word clock to get them to sync properly.
Does anyone have any other ideas?

Hi Subs, I can answer for Jazzyp as I am his main helper.. spdif ? pulsar24 only has adat?
basicaly if he slaves the VM to pulsar24 he gets digital clicks, if he slaves pulsar24 to VM there are no clicks but digital noise
(the type that occurs when only one way connection's are made) it is almost like the
desk will not slave to pulsar, he insists that 3.01 was fine.. this may be another (rare) digi problem in 3.01a..untill we get an answer from another VM users or CW I susspect it,s a cw prob if 3.01 worked.. maybe like the spdif problem I had.

Almost all clicks clicks in digital connections is due to poor sync.
A word clock connection is the answer.
It should'nt be needed if only two machines are connected but....
If you can try with wordclock sync and see what happens.
Beg,steal or borrow!

OK here are some new interesting discoveries.
I still cannot run the desk as Slave to the Pulsar BUT.... If I run the Pulsar as slave to the desk and have ADAT B checked in the samplerate setting the click goes away.
That is really strange!! :-{
Does anyone know why that should be and why you still have to run the desk as master?
I have checked the ADAT cables are plugged into the correct inputs. all seem ok.
Starting to look like a Creamware scope fusion platform problem????

i´d say it´s a more Roland related problem. I never crossed a good mixing device manufatured by them. And by the way are they really using ADAT ? It must be something they added new, normally you´ll get Tdat and maybe for about 1 k € an optional ADAT Interface which may run or not... Is Your mixer project using 48 KHz by default?

Thanks for your reply mate.
No Pulsar and desk are set to 44.1KHZ
and the desk is a full on 94ch V-Mixing console. It has 3X8 I/O DIF-AT ADAT interface boxes attached to it for the optical cables to and from the Pulsar Card.
Also if you think it's a Roland problem why did it work ok with v3.01???

because there may be a chance Creamware messed up there digital connections in sfp 3.1x, I had then same problem using my egosys wt2496 with 3.1x that was fine in 3.01
your lucky at least it works in slave mode.
