Yeah I looked into these motherboards a while back and considered selling them but I haven't had the opportunity to test them in anyway, but if you are in the UK and are looking to get hold of one, contact me, and yes your are right they ain't cheap.

Maybe dual cpu and creamware boards don't match very well ...
By using Pulsar Samplers or reverbs, you need a good pci-bus, if you don't want to receive dropouts, scratches or failure messages.
A dual cpu works very aggressive with the pci-bus I think.
Do you really need dual cpu? wouldn't be a P4 2,53 better and cheaper?

I'm running dual P3's on an Acorp 6A815EPD very stable now since SFP 3.1. Check User setups in Tech Forum for more specs.

i want to build a dual MP2100 system which it will be suitable for future use as a full virtual studio.
thankz people, but P3 won't work for me.
Intel is too expensive.

I think the Tyan Tiger MP rev1.03 (dual AMD running AMD760MP chipset) board is really pretty solid. It uses only AMD chipsets and is built by Tyan which makes excellent server boards. I would highly recommend NOT to get the Tyan Thunder dual AMD board as it has too many devices attached to the PCI bus and you WILL experience problems using it with Creamware cards. I wouldn't buy an AMD760MPX system because of the limited PCI slot options, but do your research...

You mean Tiger MPx is not as good as the Tiger MP one?
oh and one small question, what is the 64bit pci for?

I mean MPX you wont be able to use all the slots with your current gen cards.
It looks like the latest board revision of BOTH the Athlon MP boards - Tiger 760MP and Thunder 760MP - are working without PCI problems now.
In fact it looks like (!!) the latest ASUS A7N266 (nForce chipset) with the latest BIOS fixes at least one of the problems with the PCI bus - this board will need the MasterVerb test run on it again to be sure - if it gets 6 or more masterVerbs then I'd say AMD may be a good move again. Unfortunately I won't have the time or cash to test this for awhile myself.

Incidentally my Supermicro P4dc6+ is running fine still with a single Pulsar 1 & 2x1.8 xeons. Anyone wanna contribute more dsp's so I can find it's limit? =D

I just ordered an Asus A7N266-C as the german magazine keyboards recommended it as the best board available for pulsar-users today. The guy who tested it with an XP1800 could get 9 masterverbs loaded without pci-problems and could also use (!) all nine. But he had to do an Bios-Upgrade in advance (Bios-No. 1002).
I think that I will receive the parcel tomorrow and can build my new DAW during the weekend. Of course I will let you know about my experiences.
