Not over here in the USA...Creamware charged me $15...had to send 'em a check before they'd send one so I could attach my new LunaII (from Florida Distributor, who never queries if you need the cable when you order...Luna??? Oh??? Didn't know you needed one...most who buy that don't own a Pulsar!
What???? You solicted your supply of cards on the Forum, get guys to call you to buy 'em...and you don't even reply in your email that I must have a STDM if I'm gonna attach two Creamware "Thingees". Well..they were making their own at the time--a few weeks ago and told me they'd send one when they got them ready...for 25. I said...hell..it's in the LunaII book..iT SAYS STDM, FREE!! Well, you better call the Creamware office in BC. OK, I did and told him I wanted my free STDM. Nope..Sorry..We have to pay for shipping to get the lil bastards over here...so send me a check for fifteen smacks and I'll send you one. Yep, Creamware...I appreciate the FREE STDM here in the states...what??? Are we "chopped liver" over here????

This is bullshit boys and girls. I am working on CW in Germany to resolve this. This is aa email I sent 'em:
I just bought a Luna II to expand my Pulsar I setup. However, I did
not recieve my free STDM cable. I am now told that it will cost me US$15.
I purchased the Luna II from Zarg Music and he (John Bowen) had a STDM
cable shipped direct to me from CW in B.C. I am thus supposed to pay John $15+shipping, which will end up being at least $20.
This is unacceptable. These cables are SUPPOSED to be free. Quotes from
the Luna II manual: "All that is required is the correct cable(supplied
with the cards). . . [pg 54]" and "This cable can be obtained free of charge from your dealer or from CreamWare [pg 74]."
The cable is neither included with the card, nor is it free from my dealer(Zarg), nor CW North America. I understand that policies can change. However, such changes ought to be reflected in the corresponding
documentation distributed with the product. The manual says that these cables are free, and even that I should already have one in the box. This is lying, which is both false advertising and poor customer service.
I ask that you:
(1) Repay me the cost of the cable.
(2) Send me a cable for free. I might be willing to pay _actual shipping costs_ from Germany. Given the size of the item, this will not be more than $5.
Please get back to me within the next five business days (by Tuesday May 1)to resolve this matter. The way in which this is handled will have asignificant impact on my relations with, and perceptions of your company. Please shape up your customer and third party developer relations; the
success of your company depends on it.
Am I alone on this? Or do you peoples think this is severe bullshit?
my $.02 (or was that $20?)

I'm with you...it is false advertising and Creamware should have these things packaged in the box. We want our cash back!!
Glad you had the smarts to write...and your letter is very good. I support it 110%!

*shrug* I got mine for free. There was a shortage for a little while so they may have had to start charging so the people who really needed them got them.
You can also order this cable from Mouser for a few bucks.

Mouser probably has the parts, but I don't know the part number. Here's a post from pulsar-scope that tells the exact part numbers and how to <a href=

Hope that helps... and hopefully Creamware can fix this STDM confusion/price/availability ASAP.
