WIN 98 SE starts with startup-project of SFP but it´s not be stopped by starting with doubleclick at SFP.exe. Background-project must first be stopped manually. Why???

Because it's already running. Click the icon in your tray and press "Show."

It's kind of nice to make a background project really small so it loads quick, gives basic sounds in windows (couple wave sources).

I'm sorry but I sympathize with elektrolurch. Just because SFP loads itself at start-up and places an icon in the taskbar is no reason why you shouldn't be able to click on a desktop icon and open the program in the normal way. I also found this a bit annoying.

It seems, Creamware apps conform to some other outer-space OS standard.

It takes two mouse clicks to open the app from the taskbar whereas it should only take a single mouse click. It didn't used to be that way. Peculiar to SFP. This is an improvement?

it seems to me that the spf startup is not exactly the same thing of the former background.pro, that is really "background"and is not really accessible from the user.
the new startup is just the same thing of a launced environment, and i must say that this is quite practical for me. you can load another project from the live bar.
personally, as i run a dedicated machine, i made my startup the same of my defult.

Personally I think having it always running with a simple click and "Show" to be one of MY FAVORITE new features of SFP... I really like that. I keep the project I'm currently working on as the background project (even tho it takes about a minute to load), then all I have to do is start Logic after the machine boots.

yup, i agree, it was always such a apin waiting for it to load, close it then load it again. it's much handier now...
