How would you optimise Winamp streaming audio option?

For some reason, Winamp will play fine for about 3 to 5 seconds then will stop playing for another 3 seconds, like that all the time… which is very annoying. You can’t appreciate music like that.

I don’t know how to improve the performance of Winamp 3.80 streaming audio. I want to listen to the songs from our Music forum streaming the sound, not downloading them, cos is too slow.

Any help would be nice. Thanks.

Increase your bandwidth by stopping filesharing programs, etc, or increase the prebuffer amount in WinAMP...

To adjust prebuffer in WinAmp:

Go to WinAMP preferences

Find the Plugin-ins section

Input plugins

Nullsoft MPEG audio Decoder

Preferences

Streaming - adjust settings higher.

Your in Australia, right? They have really some poor connection to the internet. There might not be any cure for that.

Streams great here though in America from PlanetZ... at least on cable or T3.

Hi Sub, no, I'm not in Australia, I’m in Chile, here there are real bad connections everything is underdeveloped! It’s maybe that… Well… I will download the music and then listen to it for reviews. It’s not that hard anyway. Thanks…
