Do you use dual monitors? If so try enabling just one, and see if the problem goes away.
What pulsar mode do you use classic or OS?

Hi Sanrob,
I have the same problem with my sfp setup with winxp pro. Add to that my sts3000 keeps crashing the program as well. I can load it up all right, but try and change outputs for individual programs (and other settings as well) and down she goes taking sfp with it.
I went back to Pulsar and loaded a project with a sts3000 in it. It crashed Pulsar 3.01.
Some projects in sfp with a stst3000 in them will not even load. They report a serious error and close the whole thing down.
I reloaded sfp 3.1 and it did not fix any of the problems.
Add to these problems:
- Can't load akai programs from cd (which we all know about), and
- Can't save midi controller channel settings in the 2448 mixer and it looks like I,m in need of sfp 3.1 rev 1 asap.
Dont take this the wrong way, I am Creamware fan and I know in time we will all get over these teething problems, but its hard to get on with projects when you have such serious problems.
I have had to resort to HALion to get some things done.

i use one monitor in os mode/xp.
yes, mausmuso, i had almost the same problems and i make decision not to use any pulsars sampler anymore. spending expensive dsp for (bugy or not - anyway) samplers isn't good idea for me anymore - only problem is beacause nobody wants to buy sts3000 even for 49€

i tried ni-kontakt and i will buy it for sure, that's very comfortable sampler with low cpu usage - exactly for my needs.
most problems are gone with sts3000 but i still have this stability problem

Hi Sandrob,
Can't help you with your Pulsar bug, but I can tell you that Kontakt is fantastic ! I got it a few days ago. My only gripe is that if you're using it standalone you can't set a bpm rate with the effects or modulation - it has to get the rate from a host

NI say maybe this will be an update...
Compared with the STS ? No comparison at all !
I'll be dropping many of my pulsar sounds into Kontakt since the CPU load is so light. Suddenly I'm fully polyphonic again

tips & trick: put your sts in garbage and save your nerves and dsp.

STS totally rules. The one issue I had with it is fixed. It is my main sampler and although I understand it's too difficult for some people, for me and many of my peers, it's the perfect sampler...
That's my opinion. And I also use a Kurzweil K2500XS (it's got keys

)

i sold my emulator e4x-turbo with cd rom and jaz drive (without keys

) when i bought sts and giga. now i will buy kontakt but no one want to buy sts even for 45€?!
btw: do you try kontakt and can you compare with sts?!

but no one want to buy sts even for 45€?!
In case you didn't notice most people get this free with new cards... only the STS4k & 5K have slightly more demand, if people need those features. 4K has nice filter type additions, 5K has nice realtime stretching/pitchshifting. Both particularly fun when controlled with hardware knobs!
BTW the "text box" crash error is well known by CW and will be fixed. There are a few workarounds: Click ONCE, press F2 to edit. It won't crash. Or for selecting voices, right click, and select a voice from the pulldown menu that appears.
