Well, I finally got it installed.....

And it is buggy on the Mac....dammit.

Windows do not display properly (garbage / not right size / portions cut off) I have my monitor set to the color depth recommended. Have to hide then show to remove garbage....sometimes menu's with response buttons don't even show enough to press the button.....

Live bar doesn't work. Have to use file browser to add devices.

I cannot see how they could have released this......did they even LOOK at it on a Mac.

Am I missing something here?
Back to 3.0 I go.... >:(

The livebar doesn't work the same way anymore. You have to drag and drop the items to the little window.

did you already say that you were running OS9.2.2 ?
A few people have pointed out that the graphical corruption and artifacts have disappeared when using OS 9.2.2.

The main app runs just fine for me, although the menu items in the Live Bar are just a pain. I find that if I click on the FILE menu each time, regardless of the actual menu item I want - eg SET and then move across to the item I want to select - the drop downs appear as expected... It's easier to do than the way I just explained it
But still... Also, if you select "startup" from the "FILE" menu - it locks you out of the menu for good, you have to quit the application and restart it to get at the drop down menus again.

Another bug. Yep does the same thing for me. Can't get any of the file menus if I select Startup from File.

I did move to 9.2.2 which cured a lot of my ills

If you go to the file menu and load the startup project manually (rather than by the built in link) it works on my machine.

Drop down menus function, Live window functions.

At least it is a workaround

yeah, thanks Kamurah... I'm actually manually loading my startup(background.pro) so I can just use the Pulsar card to do my audio work in Cubase... Would be nice if the actual background application worked like it does in 3.0.1 - I'm sick of having to quit SFP and load my default routings if I already have Cubase running and decide I want to use a Pulsar Synth.. If I select "NEW" while cubase is running, I get all those "No ASIO driver" messages.... oh well, I'm sure Creamware will eventually fix the background application. I'm surprised, it seems that not many people actually use it..

i only use the background when i'm browsing or listening to mp3 tracks and so on. you can use any version before SFP for this simple task (sound manager>analog output>stereo/amp). easy if internet, iTunes, Real,... are on another partition than the audio applications partition, where you tailor the OS to your specific DAW needs, with SFP. here i don't need the background project, but the default project. i like this way of working.

It seems to be called StartProject.pro now in SFPAppSFPApp. I'm on a PC but guess it's the same. I clicked 'Save project as startup' and then searched SFP for recently modified files.

Did I miss a What's New file somewhere?

No, you didn't miss anything, I'm mixing and matching terms from 3.0.1 and SFP.. sorry about the confusion.

That's great Borg, we all have our own ways of working.
I know I've been bleeting about the background application a lot... but it's the way I work and I'm a creature of habit.
