Just thought I'd share this, it may save you considerable frustration.

Ive just spent days trying to get my Luna and Scope card synced correctly and working properly.

I've had all sorts of errors, from "Luna Zlink not available" to "DSP Limit Reached" (on bootup) to DSP not configured and others I forget.

It seems that I've had my sync plate cable connected to my scope card the wrong way around. I was sure pin 1 was nearest to the plate but it appears not!

Anyway.. for those of you who have sync plates and very weird errors of this nature make sure it is connected the correct way round. Thats with the red cable furthest from the banking plate.

Usually, attach the ribbon with the 'red wire' facing Pin1 on the connector.

I also discovered that just attaching the BNC Cables to the sync plate the wrong way round (assuming you have it connected to a sync source) will also cause problems like that described above..

A little story....A friend of mine, has a soundblaster Live in his home pc, he recently bought a hoontech addon to get digital ins and outs.
However they didn't ship an appopriate cable, and he came to me wondering if I had one spare.
I said yes that he could use an IDE cable, as long as he made absolutely sure to connect it the right way round.
Sure enough he did this and put it all together and was fine for a week. Until he decided to move around the bracket to a different slot, in his haste he reconnected the card the wrong way round turned on his computer, and after a minute or so he got the vague smell of burning rubber, and then full blown smoke out of the PC!!!!
He practically shat himself and pulled the plug on the pc, legged it to mine, for me to have a look at. The IDE cable had melted away its insulator on a couple of wires and after suppling him with yet another cable, it turned out no harm had been done!!!!!

Moral of this story, double check cables are the right way round.
You wouldn't want something like that happening to your poor pulsar card!
