Called "Beautiful Sky"
It is a melodic housey tune, which features the Miniscope, Prisma, Modular 2, and Masterverb (and Reason).

I got inspired listening to BT's "Rare and Remixed" CD.....so this is what came out.
It also features the wonderful Orange Vocoder Plug in for Pro Tools. Recorded and mixed in Pro Tools.

OK, I've got to say this, but you're a total bastard.

2 days and 2 totally amazing tunes.

I played this one for my housemate and he thought it was fantastic. He was saying that you should sell it.

I am yet to produce something I consider amazing on this platform and here you are churning out one class act after another.

Seriously though, I do appreciate the nice words. I do have to tell you guys that even though I am new to the platform....I am not new to sequencing, recording, mixing, and mastering....and I think that is half the battle. (I worked for five years as a mastering engineer)

And please don't think it's been all rosey for me either....I spent THREE HOURS last night trying to figure out how to load a .wav file into the damn sampler. (What do you mean, "Load it into the zone"??? It won't go!!!)
That simple task should be a no-brainer! The manual that comes with Pulsar doesn't explain squat.....and the Creamware site isn't much better....that "in depth" manual they have there is a joke too.

Oh well. I did get it working....but I think that the STS is the most UN-intuitive module of the entire system. Some people have said it is similar to the Akai samplers....but I always had Roland

Maybe my ramble here belongs in the "general discussion thread" but I just wanted to say how much in AWE I am of this thing.....Right now I have THREE platforms running in total harmony and synced perfectly:
Pulsar
Reason
Pro Tools.

Man, that is just too cool I can run Reason's sequencer from Pro Tools. I can sequence Reason modules in either Pro Tools or Reason....and then I can route those modules along with the wonderful Pulsar synths through the Pulsar mixer for effects before they head on to the Pro Tools mixer for MORE effects and recording........absolutely incredible.

If I had known this was possible I would have jumped on the bandwagon a LONG time ago.

I have been telling everybody about this thing......I don't think they get it......I guess you just have to see it work.

I'm hearing ya Kamurah! That is exactly the problem I had when I first had a go at the sts. A simple tutorial like "how to load a sample into the sts" would have been a big help at the time. Anyway, once you get used to it it is pretty easy to work your way around. Good to hear that things are working good for you.

Yeah, it took me a while to suss the STS. I just couldn't comprehend that you couldn't just dump a .wav file in it.

I've never found good documentation on ANY of the Pulsar devices except by asking questions in this forum.

Nah, seriously I REALLY REALLY liked this tune and I wasn't lying about my housemate to. He dug it big time.

Kamurah, sounds like you have an amazing set up with pro tools and CW and all. Funnily enough I never had a problem with the sts, it was more synchronizing my sequencer that caused my heart-aches in the beginning. But my feeling is that a few frustrations teach one a lot, in quite a general way, about the machines one is using. But I agree that the sts is not that intuitive, bit of a pain, but it does a good job in the end !
In general I actually love the graphic interface of the CW - I've never figured out how to do what I can in Pulsar with the Cubase mixer. How to route midi etc etc ? I never even thought about it in the Pulsar environment...

My, what a fast leaner you are. Great "space" in the mix. Sort of on the standard side of things, but very precisely executed indeed. The new wave of talented people are freaking me out!

I prefer different type of dance, but it sounds very good, great mix and sounds!

Nice track, it's definitely obvious you're not new to recording/mastering as it sounds really nice.
The track itself is good, the beats could be a bit more elaborate, or evolving but the rest of the sounds are really good.

Was using a Digi 001 (on a Mac) at the time when I wrote Beautiful Sky...

About 6 months ago I switched to Logic on OSX and now I run my Creamware cards in a PC that is MIDI'ed and connected via ADAT to a MOTU 896.

So to make a long story longer....

Here is my complete setup:

1.5gb RAM
27 and 80gig HD
Motu 896
Motu Fastlane USB
OSX 10.2.6
Logic 6.1 OSX
Reason 2.5


Dell Optiplex PIII 866
256mb RAM
20gig HD
Creamware Pulsar II and SRB cards
Windows XP Home
SFP 3.1c

Roland PC-300 keyboard (serves as master for both systems)
IOgear Miniview III USB KVM switch allows control of both systems with one keyboard / mouse / monitor.
Apogee Rosetta serves as master clock for both systems.
