Ok. I don't know if this is a bug or not....maybe I am just not seeing the command keys in the manual....

If I set my pulsar environment so that you can see the Mac OS in the background...how do you quit the program? How do you save? I don't have the menu items in the window that way...

In fact, I had to totally re-install the software because I couldn't figure out how to get to the file menu.

Is this a bug? Or is there some simple way to switch between full screen and window modes?

Thanks.

OS mode is not really recommended. it's not doing graphics on a mac any good. after a complete reinstall i had poor graphic quality for a few weeks until samplaire pointed me in the direction of the OS mode and the 'millions of colors' setting in your monitors control panel.

i can't remember strugling with the same shutdown problems in those dark ages. using the finder brings no solution?

No panic pulsar works well under lot of os for me it is an old os8.6.

Yeah. It isn't really a big deal. I like working in the Pulsar environment.....and you can always do the Command+Tab to switch between open programs.....

Just thought I would see if anyone had had better luck.

So are you saying that reducing my graphics from Millions to Thousands will have an effect on the screen redraws (which are pretty slow considering....)??

I should just give it a try

as you might have seen yourself now, the 'thousands' color depth makes pulsar look like crap.

check http://www.planetz.com/forums/viewtopic ... 3&start=20 and go to the bottom of page 2 to read more about graphics on a mac.
this link is a must as well, but i guess you've already been through this one http://www.planetz.com/forums/viewtopic ... &forum=3&0

1000's of colors on a mac will give you these half filled boxes around most text and numerical displays.

you want millions of colors.

about your menu bar disappearing. perhaps it unknowingly got moved to the bottom of your screen?

this feature is not documented in the documentation i have for my luna, so when i unknowingly did it one day my eyes were glued on to the top of my screen wondering where the file bar went. it was sitting on the bottom the whole time, but i still didn't see it nor figure out it could be moved until i reinstalled the software.

os mode on my machine is a bit faster dragging things around, plus i am used to seeing my desktop and other applications in the background when working in a program.

half the options in the settings menu don't work for os mode though, and there are some problems hiding luna, and pull out menus "sticking" visually, when retracted.

aside from this the two noted positives keep me using it.

best.

I discoverd tghat changing the monitor resolution (with Pulsar active) did disappear my file menu.
Restart fixed this.
