Fellow pulsarians,
I have been using Logic 4.5 and a Pulsar 1 board for a while, and have been using ASIO as an audio driver. Now I recently upgraded to Logic 4.6.1 and EASI seems to be supported. Does anybody know which driver should be performing better, the setup works with either EASI, ASIO or ASIO2, and I really don't know which one I "should" be using.

Use ASIO 2. It is not always as stable as EASI but performance is much better for Audio and there is VST plugin support.

why ASIO 2 ...?

which benefits does ASIO 2 have? (except the monitoring without latency, which also possible with pulsar?)

does EASI also have benefits? (apart from "mixing on dsp´s"...)

BTW - this "mixing on dsp" actually works? and how do you get read of latency with vst instruments? (with EASI i mean)

well, i don´t know... i don´t use EASI, i ask, if i should...

my question was: why using ASIO2 instead of ASIO?

Well, in the past, Mixing on DSPs didn't really do anything. Not sure if it's fixed with Logic versions past 4.5.

Logic 4.7 is ready. Easidriver working good and fast. Better than Asio2

I get a bigger latency with easi and vst instrumets than asio2. Do you get other results, or maybe I do something wrong.

Maybe the Easidriver have a littel more latence, but there are no problems with restarting asio after changing somthing in the projekt. I can play my VST instruments realtime.
