Hello everybody
I am new here, and I am very happy to discover this web site..
So far I was working with an Audiophile 2496 and with the motherboard A7M266.
It was working pretty well.
The A7M266 died a couple days ago and the only things I was able to get rapidly is a
EPOX 8KHA+ (chipset KT233A). In the same time I have bought a Pulsar 2+.
Audio was not working very well until I have download the last 4in 1 VIA driver.
Now the audio is perfect.
But I still have some big problem with the midi..
Initially I though it was my midisport 2*2 (that I have uninstalled now) but it is not..
The problem is the following:
When I play on my keyboard (Roland XP-60) the notes are hanging and most of the time when I press
a note nothing happen until the sound finally comes.. It is very strange and I can not use the midi at the moment.
In the creamware project windows I have conectted the Pulsar 2 Midi A souce Out to In sequencer Midi Dest1. And I
have tried to use the synths by plugging the Pulsar 2 Midi A souce Out in the Midiin of the Inferno for instance and
the out of the synths to the Pulsar Anal Dest.. I aslo tried to use a VST Intrument in Cubase, in all case I get
the same problem.. The only thing that work is when I plugg the Midi Through cable to one of my expander.. But I suspect
that the midi through have nothing to do with the Creamware project windows, because as soon as I start my computer I can
play and listen to the sound..
I was using W2000. I was in ACPI mode and I switch to Standart Mode but that did not help.
In ACPI mode the pulsar was in IRQ 11 with the USB stuff.
In standart mode the pulsar is IRQ 5 with ATI Tech Inc. Rage 128 GL AGP.
Anyway I have upgraded to XP in standart mode.. The pulsar is now in IRQ 7, alone.
So I am wondering what I should do now (I feel I tried everything).
May be the motherboard is not as good as the A7M266 (with the chipset AMD761)
Any ideas?
