When I enable an audio track and hit record Logic hesitates for a few seconds before going into record. Recording audio instruments/midi no problem. I've tried all the ASIO modules in Pulsar, Large disk buffer etc. in Logic. Cubase/Nuendo work fine but I prefer to use Logic.
WinXP Pro, Asus tuslc, 1ghz, 512ram, 7200ata100drives(1 sys,1 audio). I've tweaked as much as I can on this system. Anyone have the same problem or maybe have an idea?

thanks

i haven't seen this problem.usually, logic prerolls 1 bar but this isn't what you're talking about is it?your program stalls for a moment, correct?how about cleaning the registry?

Right it is not the count in, it stalls. I've cleaned the registry, no change. Another point that I noticed is that when it stalls the audio drops out. Meaning if I were playing the guitar in and monitoring it via Pulsar not thru Logic I hear it drop out and come back in when Logic finally goes into record. Oh..its Pulsar v3.01b and Logic 4.8.1.
