stop the madness!!!

(war)
you make excellent music? i love it a lot, although i must admit this style is not often played in my lil' house.
this is pro stuff! i wouldn't be surprised you get signed in the near future (if it isn't already the case).
it's hard to keep track of which song is in which post, so giving track specific comments is a bit hard.
the vocals are beautiful, no doubt 'bout that, nicely layered...
great breaks (could this ever be), sounds are awsome, good guitar work, sometimes very subtle in the mix. i could go on for ages...
so far the best commercial value/credibility (don't really know how to put this, hope you understand) i've heard on planetZ.
now, if i go back to the music thread, will there be number six?

Glad you liked it...
Well, this project isn't signed anywhere yet, and i'm too lazy (and buzy) to do something with it. So maybe it will just end up in being something that was fun to make...

This is something else. Excellent, great, and on and on...
So, definitely, when is the album coming?

well i hardly know about music-business, but but people should be able to buy this in a record store. With a little promotion your music could reach a lot of listeners, I am quite sure of that. Go on like this, you are really talented. Good luck!

You're in Scandinavia.. Need (media) exposure, do some gigs..
Serisously, if you have'nt already, get in touch with festival people. Assault the whole bunch, from bookers, catering

to producers. They should know you exist. If the rest of your material holds up to the 'nothing - ever' standard, I think there's a good chance you can do some gigs this summer.
You might find yourself in a hurry to prepare you material for live performance, but I'm sure that'd be a labour of love.
Denmark, Roskilde, yes of course. But also, for what it's worth, have a look at
http://www.digfi.com
They collaborate among others with the Hultsfred festival. Send them your material, make a noise.
Best of luck!

Hey mr_swim,
Well, actually I do this stuff in my VERY limited spare time.
I work full time as a projectleader in a youth culture house...
So, yeah, I would love to live from making music, but well...
I may know how to put together a tune or two, but to sell it and how, I know nothing about. Too, I'm not interrested so much in the "selling-the-music" bizz... That just doesn't turn me on at all, even if it's for my own good. It would kill my inspiration.
But as John Henric posted above, we would be putting together a "live band" with some nice guys we know, and then perhaps contacting some places to play.
Again, here in Denmark (app. 5 million citizens), there are (I think) very little interrest in this kind of music).
So, I need a good manager, but hey, they are hard to find.
Anyway, Thanks to you John Henric for your nice ideas, I'll get into thoose.

hi Noah,
that's really impressive how you manage to produce your ideas in rare spare time.
You got that flow in the music... great.
If you are able to read german, I could mail some scans about 'starting in music biz' from some mags, if you're interested. Just some basic stuff but the important facts so you don't get screwed accidently.
In Germany there's a well known Label 'Kanzleramt' who's owner's name is Laux too. At least you might get a fair amount of attraction without any additional efforts
cheers, Tom

Hi astroman,
thanks for your kind words.
Unfortuneatly I dont read german that well, so well. Anyway, glad you would take the time to do that for me. That's a good spirit.
Hehe, yeah, maybe I should give Kanzleramt a try, at least he's got a funky name

. And I think you're right about the attraction.
People are really nice in this forum.

Firstly, I completely understand about the inspiration vs profession problem. I am a philosopher by trade ( well, training in the trade ) and all the selling papers stuff puts me right off.
Secondly, though, I think it is really important to brace up and dive in ! The water might feel cold at first but give it a while and I 'm sure we could all get used to it. And what better climate to express yourself than one where you didn't have anything else you had to be getting on with ?
As for denmark, I thought that stuff was getting more and more popular over there, and throughout Scandinavia as well as Europe as a whole. Denmark ain't too far away from London, Paris, etc. these days all artists are international - e.g. we are corresponding right now !
Let's go for a swim !

Count me in for a swim in the seven seas...
I think I'll go diving right away, and maybe end up in...........London? perhaps!
