till i install xp my cd roms sometimes works sometimes won't. if i have simple backround pulsar project (just drivers & micromixer) then work without problem.
but when i make background project with sts3000, rm242.... then starting problems. it's hard to explain for me but i will try.
so, when is pro with sts in background windows media player can't play from audio cd - winamp can.
i have access to cd drives from win explorer only if is allready cd in drive when i open project with sts. but in pulsar browser i have tons of folders with no names or strange names. i have last aspi updated but it's the same.
that's makes me crazy!?
i see topics with similar problem but i didn't find solution!?

If it drives you too crazy - use Win98.

Also early preXP versions of Nero, if they were installed, will really mess up your CDROM situation.

WinXP is weird about CDROMs even without a Creamware card installed. Hopefully this is something Creamware can do something about, but it might be a M$ thing...

i use nero, but this is not nero problem. i had same problems before i instal nero even can't instal nero (or clone or winoncd...), because instalation can't find cd drives - i had project with sts and rm242 in background.

win98 :???: uuuf... don't know.... looks like only solution.
btw: when we can expect 3.1?

That should not be a problem - but you never know...

Do you have a spare PC? It does not matter, if it is only like 100MHz. I am building a new box for my PC. After that, I buy a PSU and a NIC. Then I have 2 PCs. Then my Pulsar PC will have no CD-ROMs at all. I will acces the CD-ROM on my old PC thru the NIC.

no, if that mean "old pc", "low power pc". i have p4 - 2.2!
i already useing second computer for giga, but i don't like idea of working with 2 computers. i do everything to stay on xp because i have much better performances, but i think that i must go for win98 again... i will wait for new pulsars software update and than i will see!
