hi everyone..
i got the creamware elektra ... an athlon 750 and 256mb ram, and let's say i got BUZZ running, makin music, and open winamp, it'll stutter music/sound until the program has finished opening, this is even when i open just a browser or whatever and i have a music program running...
and i thought the card had almost no lag , or is my setup wrong?
also can i have my sb live runnin at the same time as the elektra with no problems?
(for playing games on the sb live, cuz the sound also stutters alittle when i play games) any help would be greatly appreciated!

Seems the stuttering occurs when using the disks to start an application. Did you check DMA on the drives? Perhaps using RAID (hogging the pci-bus)?

I had games stuttering on my two previous setups:
1)533p3 on Apollo133
2)800Duron on k7s5a (I think I got rid of it on this one though)
With my first setup, I would also get stuttering when surfing and running winamp.

I have not yet had stuter on my new setup:
3)1000Celatin@1333 on Asus tusl2-c

If you have the SB installed anyway, then use it for most of your players and games. Use Pulsar to make music ;)
I have only CW cards in my main pc, and use Pulsar for all audio.

where/how do you set what program to be dealt with by what card?

In the properties/settings of each program, unfortunately...

how do you get there?
right click/propertiers on the app .exe doesnt give me an option which soundcard to use...
and i just put the sb live in too to check but it doesnt come up... and all i can do is set the preferred device, but that doesnt let me set the sound card to use for each indivudual app.
