hi everybody,
bored by all this discussions about performance and latency i´m now trying a new way!
i´ve got my (very) old pc (pI166,64mbram) started with that pulsarI and that pulsarSRBI cards in there! it works, not that godd but like always - :)))
i´ve got a hammerfall9652 on my main-recordingsystem (pIII550-256mb-scsi160) and that works really fine...
no i wired this 3 adatlinks from the hammerfall like this:
1 goes to the yamaha03d
1 goes to the creamware a8 (breakout)
1 goes to the pulsar-pc

that works-i´m happy (for a while!)

midi: i´m doing it with that good old tripledatboard on the main-pc

and the coax-out from the pulsar-pc is only giving the master-out to the yamaha03d--that works...

no more crashes while changing midi/divices, no more shitty crashing while closing vst or logic---- no more creamwarecrashes!

that´s only a first result--- i will report more!

hammerfall is a real fine system---YES!

greetings

t.

Subject: Re: hammerfall and pulsarI on 2 systems!

I,m working the same way, but i use win2000 with cubase 5.0 and Hamerfall 9652(Nuendo card). win2000 is shure a bether choice to work professional. So if you have all hardware drivers for Win2000, you should think about this. For me it works, and i have exactly the same hardware you describe.
