Which CPU is the fastest that Scope boards can use. I want an updated unit that can deal with a lot of plugins and processing but would like the Scope converters for mixing.

Thanks

I guess you mean Scope boards as PCI cards, not the pcie cards of Xite.
In this thread are some boards within the posts.

The "fastest" CPU is hard to determine, as for some applications a large multicore cpu will be slower than a lowcore cpu, the same with intel vs. amd. Nevertheless I never reached a cpu limit with my vintage I7 in Bitwig. Do you use so many VSTs or just a few very cpu intensive ones ?

Yes PCI. I would like intensive VSTs plus multiple EQs etc

Depends. Since I have 3 pci cards, I'm limited to 7th generation Intel i7 7700K and mobo which has 3 pci slots.
I think, the last generation mobos for commercial use, with 3xpci slots, unless if you search for industrial mobos, which is too expensive option for me atm.
Anyway i'm doing a lot of processing from plugins to export audio, especially CPU hungry ones,
so at the final mix I have just few vst's loaded and lots of audio tracks.

which is the only sane way to work anyway.
