I found, that my t.c.electronic triple-c compressor can be slave to spdif, even though, I use analog input. This is very nice, because now I can make a project with *something* going into spdif dest, and my triple-c will sync to that. But I still get no respons from my spdif source (linked to triple-c spdif out). How can this be? The devices are in sync. The triple-c has accepted Pulsar as spdif sync master. Why will Pulsar1 then NOT accept a signal back from my triple-c. The triple-c is setup to choose analog input for signal and digital in for sync. SPDIF spec does not allow one device to be a master and a slave at the same time. Pulsar1 therefore cannot do this. Pulsar2 has a hardware workaround which makes this possible.

So is there any way, I can make use of my spdif connectors on my Pulsar1?

I had my Pulsar1 slaved to my 01v back when I had that setup, and I used the SPDIF output of the Pulsar1 to the 01v just fine, perfect for monitoring the whole mix.

If I understand you right: you want to get a sp/dif signal from TC to Pulsar.Then you have to use TC as master.I have a TC M2000 reverb and it works like that.

Do I miss out something?

I made a start project with
spdif -> chanel -> spdif
and now I can make Pulsar1 slave to spdif
- but only in the start project!
The same trick does not work with the default project.

So when Pulsar is taking a breake, it accepts to be spdif slave, but when I ask Pulsar to get up and work, it refuses and says:

"I am nobys slave"

Does anyone have a workaround for this?

I got it fixed. The default(/New) project had to be created after the start(/Background) had learned to slave to spdif.
