I have just receive an email and among other things, it says:

By the way: existing Pulsar users can look forward to this summer's
release of software version 3.0! This release will come with many
new features, including the new MasterVerb and XTC functionality.
Another milestone in the evolution of the Pulsar system. And, as
usual, free for existing users!

GREAT!!!

Subject: As free as modular II upgrade for Pulsar I users?

Heheh... When I bought the card, I thought there was a sampler in too... nono, there were only sample players...
eheh 1300$ for a card, and the sampler is not IN...
and STS 4000 is as expensive as a hardware (2nd hand) sampler... Not agree about free Pulsar Upgrades! Major devices R NOT FREE

You're SOOOO right !

I want Modular2 in Luna2, and it COST A LOT,

I'll buy reaktor 3.0 or Reason instead!

Well, i think that i'll buy it.

Better take reaktor than reason : it runs as VSTinstr.
Reason is a kind of super-rebirth

Thanx for the info, i didn't test reason yet.

But i already fear alot of midi problem slaving reason to whatever the sequencer. So i'll take a better look at reaktor.

Thanx again :)

Subject: two things

reaktor is a modular synth, more modular than pulsar's modular2 but take a lo't of cpu.

reason - sampler, rex sampler, drum machine, great synth!.
very low on the procesor.

if you want to dive into modular haven than you know what you nead to do, but if you want a "nord like ++" sound with ton's of pelyphony and othheer usable stuff than go for reason.

Subject: Of course they are not free!!!

Would you work for free? Why do you want everything for free when we live in a world where everything is paid? Do you really give the best of yourself for free? If you do, I would congratulate you, because it would be a very nice action indeed. BTW some people in this forum do, that is why we have so many wonderful devices. But… if you had a job that was your bread and butter, would you do the same thing? Would you work for free? I DON'T THINK SO!

Subject: I know that, thx :))))))))))... heard of 2nd degree humour?

According we've eliminated mony, why not...
If you were in my area, you'd know what means working for free...ehheh... there's no work except car factories...
and there are very little concerts and few opportunities...
it's a kinda asshole of the world ;)
Frankly, I don't care about money... If I had made music for money, I would have stopped that a long time ago...
Have you ever heard of associative life, or do you only worship $ ??? Héhé... b.e, I use lots of freewares and I build a lot of my musical hardware myself... Why emulate tubes when it's cheaper to have real ones ;) Hummm... A sharc dsp is sold about 10$... I regret to not know more about digital audio electronics and programmation, so I'd build a 50 sharc dsp card ;)... Errr... If u got so much $, I accept donnations and/or job offers (according that I haven't to move to the U.S.A :) . I do not think there are still secrets in audio algorythms... look at www.jeskola.com 2 see if there aren't some that work for free. Although it has an ugly GUI (that u can change), Jeskola's buzz is something that does : asio - Dx plugs, Vst plugs, dolby surround, modular synthesis, has 250 Fx and 150 sound generators ( www.buzzmachines.com ) the developpement kit is given, and I think the community will hapily help you ;) A brand new version is in developpement ... Oskari Tamelin created it all alone :) .
I fact, I plan to work under linux soon :)
