Subject: Re: Realtime Noise Reduction

there are filters, noise gate, compressors, all kinds of things you could use to make your signal cleaner.

I have a delimma. I have a PulsarII and I'm an avid shortwave radio fan. I keep thinking to myself, "I have 6 Analog Devices Sharc DSP's in my computer but I don't have anything to do realtime noise/hiss reduction".
I know that the PulsarII card isn't meant for doing anything but making music but I sure could use some noise/hiss reduction for my radio reception.
Is there anything like this for the PulsarII and if not, is there anyway to get something like this made for around $100?
Thanks!

Hmm, we know Creamware can make killer "real time" noise reductin plugins (see tripleDAT and it's plugins), curious if they'll make a DSP version of this at some point? And the answer is, more than likely yes!

Get tripleDAT. It has Osiris noise removal built-in and it is awesome. I couldn't live without it. Works in real time.
