I have a strange problem ever since v2.04 - 3.01 pulsar op sys software, problem doesn't exist with v2.01. I have mapped the filter cutoff to my controller keyboard, and if I try to move the filter or resonance (send a large amount of midi data from the controller) it chokes pulsar, and causes the audio to stutter badly or stop. This happens when mapping anything to the controller. I did not have this problem with v2.01 at all, regardless of number of audio tracks/midi tracks etc. I would've stayed with 2.01 but the new features of 3.01 are nice. Does anyone have any ideas about this?
Setup
PII350 mhz 384 RAM
Pulsar II v3.01 op sys
Controller Alesis qs-6
midi box - midiman USB midisport 2x2
Logic Audio 4.7
Thanks

Well, i still havent quite fixed the problem, but i at least fixed one aspect of it. Now the cutoff doesn't overload the midi, but the resonance does. I think it has to do with the fact that op sys 3.01 is running an "old 2.01" project file. The old software devices aren't fully compatible with the new 3.01 op sys, hence wierd errors and glitches. This is quite annoying, because I will now have to go through all my old projects and reload the new 3.01 devices, there has to be an easier way....

Yeah - run Pulsar 2. and 3. on the same machine. Load old projects in Pulsar 2 or finish them and burn them to CDs hehe.

Well thats kind of a problem, how do i run both on the same machine...installing 3 took away my 2.01 run icon..and the runpep.exe

Make a new icon for runpep.exe from your Pulsar 2 directory, this is what you click to start Pulsar2. But you will need to copy the sim*.dll from your Pulsarv3 directory (app/bin), overwriting the same files from your Pulsar2 directory, then they will both work. Proceed at your own risk (although a quick 3.01 reinstall would fix any problems with your v3)

Well I took your advice Sub and checked the midi output. I was transmitting on every channel 1-16 with every thing i did on the controller. Now that is wierd, because with 2.01 i had the sequencer filtering all the redundant midi info. I had to actually go into pulsar, set the new midi drivers (annoying and will have to do this for each project file i have) and then had to set a filter in pulsar in addition to the one in the sequencer. (annoying again) How did this happen with the new op sys? I love pulsar when it works, but troubleshooting gets damn annoying.

Thanks for the help!
