ASIO4all.......except Scope Users!

Post by yayajohn »

Can anyone successfully running ASIO4all with Scope tell me what version? (of ASIO4all)
v2.15 and 2.14 don't seem to work.

Windows 10 and 11 64bit.

This is my last attempt to get Gig Performer running again since I upgraded from Windows 7 to 10.

I thought Asio4all is used to make wave-devices appear as asio.
Why can't you use asio of scope directly ?

Well I got it to work with VB-Audio but the latency makes it pretty much useless.

nebelfuert: Scope asio crashes the system when I try to load it. It isn't compatible with certain programs. This has been a known problem for a long time but hopefully Scope 8 will fix it. What's puzzling to me is that Gig Performer did work with Scope ASIO when this computer was Win7 64 but when I upgraded it to Win10 it did not work anymore.

Hi, I can confirm the bluescreen with GIG Performer on Windows 10 with Scope 7 driver.
The best workaround in my experience is to use Reaper with Rearoute virtual ASIO driver installed on the system as it follows:
Set Reaper ASIO settings with Scope as the primary driver
Set Rearoute as ASIO driver from GIG Performer audio settings
Connect the GIG Performer Inputs or Outputs to Rearoute
Add the needed audio tracks inside Reaper project, each one with the corresponding Rearoute channels as audio input and with monitoring and record enabled and the same goes if you need to process external sources inside GIG Performer, create tracks inside Reaper with Scope Asio channels as input and Rearoute as output.

Well that seems to work and the latency is acceptable. Good old Reaper to save the day.
Seems kind of silly opening a whole DAW just to use another host.
Reminds me of the saying: "Pole Vaulting over a mouse turd"

Thanks for the tip dj
