I recently installed XP on my system. I also run Win98 sec. edition, since I've found this OS more acceptable towards different hardware drvs..

But is it possible to install Luna 2 in WinXP? Are there any working XP drivers for my Luna 2 card? On the installation cd, there's only drivers for Win98, Me.. When I try to run the setup.exe, it promts that it can't be run on NT/2000. I believe Creamware didn't bundle any NT/2000/XP drivers in their products. I tried to browse Creamware's website a few moments ago, but I couldn't find any 2000/XP drivers:( I read somewhere else on this forum, that somebody had downloaded the new "W2k drivers for Pulsar 3".. is it only for the Pulsar 3??

Please help me out.. I really could need some help!:)

Take care,
best regards,

Yes, Luna V3, which is free if you bought your Luna in October and forward (your V3 key will appear in your "My Page - Serials" on the Creamware website if you qualify, if they made a mistake and you bought the card in October,November,December this year then email support@creamware.de all your info and your Luna SN and wait 4 business days)

Luna V3 includes masterVerb, a nice usable reverb, and a few other nice effects, along with Win2000/XP support.

If you don't quality, and you insist on a free simple driver update, there is one for you too, it's still in beta but you can find it on Creamware's FTP server here
ftp://ftp.creamware.de/software/luna25_2k/

Remember it is BETA and to read the README file before installing it.

But to get the most work done, I strongly suggest staying with WinME (or Win98SE) for a little while longer. I am really digging WinXP but it's going to be a little while longer before it's as smooth as 9x was for making music.

Hi again..:)

Thank you for the Creamware link; I downloaded the betadriver from their ftp server, and suddenly it was a whole of lot easier to install Luna 2 in winXP:))

But as you mentioned, it's best to stick with Win98 or WinMe at this very point, due to incompatibilities and bugs:) I still find WinXP excellent to work with. On closely to everything "except" music composing:)

But soon we can all use XP and the very common audio applications without scratching our heads in frustration each and every second:)

I've installed Logic Audio in XP, and it seems to work pretty good. Still I can't get HALion to work within Logic in XP. But it's okay, very soon Steinberg will probably release a XP version of HALion. I guess:))

But thanks a lot for all the great help (this far) Sub:) I really appreciate all that you've done for me:)

Take care then, and a happy new year to you and everybody else on this forum:) We'll talk later.. probably:)

Best regards, sincerely,
