XITE-1 for sale

Post by garyb »

i have an unused XITE-1 to sell. $3200 plus shipping. this is a firm price.
XITEs will be going up 1000euro because of increased production costs. they will likely stay the same price through the holidays, but they are going up soon. this is a one time deal!

pm me if interested.

Is this why the Sonic-Core shop is currently offline?

no, it is offline because of a hacker. currently, there is someone building a new shop, i hope it is as good as the plans for it.

Hardware prices going up is old news. UAD have already tried the 'people getting stuff for free' trick - its not working. Apollo prices went up months ago and they tried throwing in a bunch of useless plugs to compensate. That didn't work, so now they are making footpedals and USB interfaces instead (both non Sharc). The footpedals are no match for Strymon and the USB interfaces wont run with Luna

Anyway, I've PM'ed MrV - he might be interested.

At least in EUR, it´s pretty clear.
IIRC, actual price is EUR 3.890,- incl. 19% VAT.

According to Gary´s announcement,- it will be EUR 4.890,- incl. 19% VAT then
He said +1K EURos.

Now subtract VAT and do the math for USD and AUD,- plus shipping.

I guess, USD is more or less the same than EUR and exclusive VAT.
It all depends on daily exchange rates.
Customers might have to pay sales- and custom- taxes in their countries, others not.

I don´t wrap my head around who´s willing to pay that much for SCOPE v7.0 and XITE-1.
I´m just only happy I already own a great working XITE-1 !
And I never gave up hoping for Scope v7.1 release as well.

i do not decide prices. it's not up to me. the price hasn't changed since the XITE-1 was first made. a price change is bound to happen, eventually.

Who said you do ?

No complain.
(in germany/ europe, price changed when VAT was reduced because of Covid19,- but that´s history now too)

Anyway,-
when my XITE-1 might fail one day,- repair will be worth the trouble when considering the price for a new unit then.

Yep, my cards lasted 20+ and that was inside a hot P4 era dual cpu machine with 10k rpm scsi's and etc. Can't imagine the Xite runs that hot...

You never know,- w/ bad luck,- some part can fail out of the blue !
But you´re right,- at least the PCI cards are unbelievable reliable and we can expect that from XITE-1 build quality too !

XITE-1 can run hot depending on load and when mounted into a (small) rack and together w/ other rackmount devices.
I bought 1/2 U 19" brackets to have some space above and below and not losing too much rack space for only a 1HU unit.
That way, I get XITE-1 and "blackface" A16U together w/ a 1HU powerstrip into a "shorty" to have all mobile.
