Asus PRIME B460 Plus & Windows 11 Possible solution

Post by k500zm »

I have this mobo and I know you cannot attach a TPM module to it for windoze 11

I'm not going to upgrade to w11 for a long time - but I found this so if you want to upgrade try this - the option is there in the BIOS

"Indeed, I don't have a physical TPM module in my system. But it ends up, there's a workaround.

I fiddled around in the UEFI, where I found a setting to enable Firmware TPM. Under Advanced\PCH-FW Configuration, where I switched from Discrete TPM to enable a Firmware TPM.

Then, I rebooted and returned to PC Health Checker and it said I could install Windows 11 without issue. "

You may have to enable secure boot also in the bios

Thanks, I've just this weekend ordered a new system based on the ASUS Prime B460 PLUS.
We reached the same conclusion in this thread as you did:

It's nice to have it confirmed from two sources though!
