You mean as a new update? I was referring to getting a 7 upgrade (from 5.1) I remember either last year or the one before there was one so figured I'd hold off in case since it's so close.

Scope 7 has been around for nearly 3 years so I want Santa to come down my chimney with Scope 8. Ill be waiting for him with a bottle of Kentucky Owl Bourbon and a jab of Pfizer to celebrate the worst year ending the best possible way.

What kind of things would Scope 8 include?

Theres no release info. Just user wishlists. I'd want SPF mode back, others would prioritise re-instatement of features lost due to 64 bit, or controller mapping/recall bugs fixed.

Is there a list of the features that were lost? I saw the sampler doesn't but wasn't sure of any others.
Cheers

I would be ecstatic for a V 7.1 with those fixes. No need to roll the number to V 8. No complaints, either.

By "SPF" you mean "XTC"?

What drivers does it have now? Does it work in Windows system audio ok? (ASIO on v5 seems fine so far so it's mainly the system driver I need v7 for).

What about for Windows system though. That normally doesn't allow ASIO (like playing Youtube in a browser).

Seems to be an issue with DSP systems. Apollo has users grumbling about YouTube etc as well. I don’t use YouTube on DAW - mainly just on my phone or android telly
In my downstairs office I have 3 laptops one each per client. In upstairs studio I have a workstation for office stuff - and the DAW just for audio.
All specialist dedicated systems - way to go.

5.1 works fine for Wave drivers and Youtube (or audio players as I usually don't use ASIO since I have my DAW set to that and it's not multi client).
I just wanted to make sure 7 works as well as 5 for the Wave drivers.

Thanks. Just found out about the Vember cable software reading the big v7 thread. Might try that as from what I read the Wav drivers might not still be 100% on v7. Otherwise might get an SSL 2 or something similar and try to pipe that into Scope for my monitoring.

Scope v7.0 wave driver work for me, Win 7 Pro SP1 x64,- for VLC media player and youtube playback.
i connect wave source module to ext. input of STM mixer, than select in "studio" or "controlroom" section.
No clicks, pops and crackles here.
Can be L and R will be swapped, but I don´t care when just only listening to music or watching a vid.
Didn´t try Win10 for SCOPE up to now but will soon w/ my laptop.

wave outputs work for YouTube, etc. use the 24bit versions. wave inputs do not work in 64bit. you may get a few random clicks, but not a mess.
