XITE-1 Rig

Smaller, stronger and the most efficient use of space.
Destined to be on smaller stages for foreseeable future, this is compact and fully automated by the 1U PC & Physis K4 Master MIDI Controller.

Bottom rack only 13” deep, but holds rear mounted power distribution, front mounted 1U P C, XITE-1, A16U and HX-3.5 Organ Module.
Top rack is TC VoiceRack w/ V256 Vocoder/AutoTune pedal, all automated via MIDICC’’s.

Top is USB 3 Hub/Monitor stand with QWERTY & SE-02 analog synth.
EHX V256 Vocoder sits in back of 2U VoiceRack.

Nice to know every few years I have to battle for gigs and pay my dues once again that I have the XITE-1 to bolster my sound with.

Looks like a clean setup I'd be proud of.

Thanks.
COVID-19 rig allows for rapid deployment on any stage/space to work.
I need 8 feet in depth and 4 feet in width. That includes the Speaker tree too.
The Sub fits under the rack, speakers go up behind the rack.

So many guys I know piss and moan about the stage sizes they face because their large Bass Cabs or Floor toms/double bass won’t fit. I tell them you can make it happen or my MPC or Maschine + will fix that.

We’re living in different times for many of us.
You want work you better not complain about pay or location.

Go hard or go home...

Awesome rig. FYI the Maschine+ gets good wraps in Future Music, although they dont have a review model yet, maybe next month we'll get the full hands on lowdown. They speak of mass redundancies, product discontinues and internal racism issues at NI this year, so thier recent slew of new releases are like the phoenix rising from the ashes. Apparently Guitar Rig 6 was developed using 'Intelligent Circuit Modelling' - a machine learning tech that can provide greater realism when emulating classic gear. Maybe this will eventually disrupt UAD - as it takes their engineers over a year to model stuff like the Massive Passive.

I reckon so.

Internal racism ‘eh?
Lots of money these days in the civil rights industry.
Probably just a few folks shaking them down for free stuff.

As a brown skinned racist I feel left out.
Once we become the majority we can be the racists I suppose.
I give it 30 more years.

Like I said, lots of money in the Civil Rights Industry these days.
50k just makes the NAACP mad, 100k and your good for the year.

50k would get me a nice rig.

Hey Jimmy; Nice update to your rig. It would be interesting to see a pictorial progression of all of your rigs over the years.

Saw that you are using the Logitech M570 thumb track ball mouse. I've been using those for years but have been having problems with Win10 not keeping my custom settings esp for using Scope. Setpoint won't always load during startup and I have to manually load it each time.
(I set my wheel button to delete and the fwd/rev buttons to Left/Right)

Just for future ref, I recently bought this one.
https://www.logitech.com/en-us/products ... mouse.html
It works great and has a few improved features such as a button that allows you to switch to another computer and a high precision button for making minuscule adjustments.
Anyway, just thought in case you were having similiar issues.
Will you be gigging in Nashville or Vegas this year?

I need that mouse.
I’ve got a few, this one works but won’t do detailed work very well.

Nashville and Vegas if things work out.
But at this point I’d settle for a house gig in Branson, MO. or Scottsdale/Sedona, AZ.

New York and California are gone. They’ve starved Businesses into Bankruptcy. Nevada clubs are going to be gone at the end of the month as Congress threw them under the bus for listening to them and local Governors.

There’s only 3 bands working the strip right now, to stay employed they’re doing 2 nights for free out of 5.
My buddy works one where there’s a 750 dollar minimum per table, socially distanced, etc.
Uncertainty is the only certainty.

It’s why I’m ready for whatever comes along.
To stay above water I sold my vintage gear, vintage car, etc.

I want 2021 to come quickly.

I can fit my entire rig with speakers in a Sonata SE.
If I get a call I’m taking it. But you know it’s bad when everyone is calling me because they think Vegas is the only game.

I think I’ll make a post with my first Scope PCI rig with 3 cards and big ass racks.
Great comparison on how spoiled we’ve become in regards to size and quality of our gear.

Cheerz.

Ahh sorry to hear of the struggles. Hope it gets better soon. If you gig in Nashville let me know and I'll tell my friends to come drink as many margaritas as we can to support the local venue. Nothing better than listening to a live band with quality musicians. Too much karaoke going on these days.

Will do YaYaJohn.
I’ll always be indebted to you for offering me your XITE-1 when I was gigging there and thought my XITE-1 was on the Fritz.
