Was there an Oberheim like filter anywhere in scope, instrument or in modular?
I use the SATURN device and like it (except for the old style saving), but was hoping there was another.
Thanks!

Re: Oberheim Filter
Which "Oberheim like" filter do you mean ?
There existed different vintage Oberheim synths and there are today´s Tom Oberheim products cloning the vintage hardaware as also DSI/Tom Oberheim OB-6.
vintage:
The SEM , SVF and OB-X 2-pole low-, band-, hi-pass and notch filter w/ resonance
12dB LPF of OBX-a (2x CEM 3320 per voice)
12dB/24dB CEM- of OB-8 (1x CEM 3320 per voice)
The multimode filter generated by CEM 3372 signal generator of Xpander and Matrix-12
24dB LPF inside CEM 3396 (synth- on- a- chip) of Matrix-6 /Matrix-1000
They all sound different.

Re: Oberheim Filter
Good point, I should have clarified. Something like the Matrix-6 or the OB-Xa.
Re: Oberheim Filter
since you mention saturn, you mean the possibility of crossfading.
orbiton syn-chrome offers similar. I like that very much.

a transition is feasible. correct morphing less. but if the result is right.

and

morphing could be possible with a filter bank mutation

Re: Oberheim Filter
Matrix-6 is the easiest to model.
It´s just only a 24dB LPF.
OB-Xa used 2 CEM chips,- possibly 1 for the 2-pole (12dB) and the other for the 4-pole (24dB) filter.
But I myself,- I´d prefer the classic SEM state variable filter.
In fact, I´d like to have a SEM model for SCOPE and a shell mimiking key assignment options, offering global PB, vibrato and VCF cutoff controls, so a user is able stacking SEMs inside that shell.
In addition we´d get access to originally "internal" patchpoints and were able using these w/ SCOPE Modular.
Well, I can dream ...
B.t.w.,- the old Creamware "Blue Synth" device got new love on my end.
IMO it works very well for a lot of polyphonic synth patches while saving a lot of DSP cycles.

Re: Oberheim Filter
Cool! Thank you for the information! I'll have to check out Orbitone and bcmodular.

sorry, i meant the variable filter temperatureBud Weiser wrote: ↑Fri May 22, 2020 4:21 am How is crossfading betweem LP, BP and HP realised in Syn-Chrome ?

Hello Spielraum, cool device, thx!
Also, quick question, the bcmodular - CEM3320 LP filter, I didn't see it in the Version 0.98b install or any of the older zips. Didn't see it in github list either.
Where do I download this filter module? Thx!
