Until now, I had only worked on 8 simultaneous tracks.

I tried to go to 16, but the A16 ultra, even if the signal enters well in the converter, doesn't output anything on the sound card.

My question is, is it possible to have adat A source and adat B source simultaneously?

On my scope interface when I select adat B, the red led stays on the A.

the scope is in master and the A16 in slave.

You can use all inputs simultaniously.
The LED tells you if input is connected. Both LED must be red.
The radiobutton on the right (window samplerate settings) can be set to A or B. This makes no difference, as both are synchronous.

Okay, thanks, I reversed the optic cables, it doesn't change anything.

Is it possible the ADAT B is down? Is it repairable?

Do you see light on the outputs of A16 ?
Do you see light on the end of the optical cable ?

Set the A16 to master and the scope to slave.
If you plug in the optical cable, the red LED in samplerate settings should become red.
This should work on input A and B.

Strictly, what samplerate are you working at?

nebelfuerst, there's light on the outputs of the A16 and at the end of the cable.

With the A16 as master, even if the ADAT B sends no signal to the sound card, the result is no signal to the sound card.

Strictly, to rule things out, how many PCI Scope cards do you have. If more than 1 can you try using the cable that you know works for ADAT A and connect it to B and to another PCI card. Another thing to try is to reseat the daughter board on your PCI card that is showing issues and see if that works.

I got a Luna 2 and a Pulsar 2.
I have swapped the optical cables on the A16 the two Adat input works well on the sound card, that's why I think the problem comes from the A16.
I also reinstalled the cards without changing anything.

Do you have 4 adat cables connected?
This would rule out sync mistakes.
A and B in and outs.
Sync slave/master from /to scope or a16.
It's not necessary but just to trouble shoot.
Best to attach a screen shot of your routing and settings from scope.
Rule out connections before thinking of faulty equipment.
Hope you figure things out.

The 4 optical cables in and out are well connected.

So maybe your A16 has a bad output.
If you have enough soldering skins, you could buy the optical converter at ebay for about 20 euros, I guess.
you could also try to swith to Z-link, if your Luna has those ports.

The Zlink ports are for the A16? I thought those ports were for connecting two Zlinks to the a16 to expand to 32 lanes.

Another upshot of Zlink is all 16 channels above 48Khz.

Scope Master,Z-link A connected on the Luna, Z-link A led lit on the scope, Z-link selected on the A16 red led no signal...A16 master, led on the A16 red led no signal.
Should I change something on my scope project?

Oh wait! as I also own the Z-lnk box, I launched my corresponding scope project, there on the A16 all the lights are green, but I can only have 8 tracks.

so I have to buy a second Luna, this one has only one fire wire output, and the Pulsar 2 doesn't have one.

fwiw, that is not a firewire connection, although it uses a firewire cable.
