I have tried two sets of cables, cleaned them with isopropen alcohol , it drives me nuts. Installed on a brand new board (thanks again valis) what means ID2??? I have installed 3X pulsar II boards...have other 6 pulsar II cards here...I can change a faulty card (if this is the case) but which one?
Does ID2 mean the middle one? Thank you, haba

might be the middle one.

do not use isopropyl. use 99% pure or contact cleaner. less pure alcohol leaves a film that will make things worse.

try one cable. perhaps one of your cables are bad. using one cable will let you swap cables.

perhaps the contacts are worn. if the contacts are worn, you will need to clean regularly since the copper will corrode(unlike the gold coating). this is a hazard involved in moving the cards around a lot. clean the contacts with 99% alcohol or contact cleaner, NOT isopropyl.

the cards normally get pretty hot, but if you are unsure, put a fan on them and see if things improve.

there is no magic bullet.

99.9 is fine.
