I'm having regular problems accessing my site, even though all the components are there.

Often the browser says 'done' but just loads a blank page, and I have to keep refreshing, or opening one of the subpages before it'll open OK.

Also, I often get missing gif's which are definitely on the host, but they won't appear until I've ftp'ed them from the host, as if the host needs reminding that they are there.

Do other people have these problems, and does anyone have any suggested solutions?

Cheers,
Ben

Apologies for lack of new site content recently - I'll try and get busy with it again soon!

I hit the modularsynth link, and then about 20 seconds later, I see it attempting to access crosswins.net before I get the Action Canceled please try again page... BTW I'm in North America sitting on a T3 connection.

Hi Ben. I had the same result you describe - a blank page loading. I had to change my shortcut to:
http://bwmodular.crosswinds.net/index.htm
and now it loads fine

Very slow load, but all there. Australia, dial-up.
Maybe you're just having cache problems?

Normally an ***.co.uk site loads vveeerrryyy slowly here in Poland (almost all of them, even on a cable) but yours loads amazingly fast like we say here - a knife hitted in butter. My home connection (which I used to the test) is 56k modem; both Netscape and IE (on a Mac) resulted a smooth operation

I updated my DNS records for both sites and it loads up really quickly. Guess they must have switched DNS servers recently or something, but all is well now.

Hi all,
many thanks for all your responses.

Once I'd cleared my cache completely, all seems OK again now, and glad to hear that most of you are connecting OK.

Dave, are you still having problems? I found f5'ing was not enough, but I had to tell Explorer to do delete all temporary files, and then it loaded fine. Never had this before.

BTW The address may be a .co.uk but the site is actually hosted in the US, so that'll explain why its faster than your used to in Poland.

Many thanks all, for your feedback.

Ben

when i'm trying download presets it's show me new page with preset code description.Well, when i'm trying "save target as.." It's show me (for example)-filter_percussion_bw.htm ????
So i'm typed "pre" at end of file and it's seems OK but when i loading preset into patch it's crush pulsar.
I'm tryed "ym2151+_add30.pre" from your site and it's crushing my pulsar but it's work from PlanetZ.

Try it now - all presets now uploaded as ZIP files. Should be able to dl them from the presets page - I've not yet updated the links on the individual patch pages.

Cheers,
Ben
