Hate the line-lump and the 1/8" audio jacks,- but otherwise I like it.

Bud!
I can't believe it! Roland did it! It is not digital! It is analog and better? Than the behringer plastic shit. And it has presents. No it is not a Minimax or Minimoog. No no this is certainly a new interpretation of... Roland's mini.

Great! I love it!

If there wasn't behringers attempt to kill all the other manufacturers, they would never try to be better! Roland wins today!

Make it slightly bigger, put 1/4" jack sockets on and I'll look again.

Mr. Arkadin I agree with you!

Too small. If you are going to go hardware then why would you want mini-knobs that are too close together?
I've tried the boutique series before and really don't like how they feel. Perhaps they will get enough interest from the backpack synthesis crowd.

The sound is great although isn't there a lot of competition for analog monosynths whether they be Minimoog-D format or other?
Priced a bit higher than this one I guess.

Can't wait for the shootout with the ulimoog.

I got one.
I'll stick this little sucker inside a rack and use MIDI for control.
The sound is like my SE-1X...Fat greasy bastard.
Chain mode 6 of these for a giant FAT Bastard.

Zen Master says we'll see...

 That's awesome! I guess it's shipping right away? Keep us posted on what you think of it first hand because I know my local shitbox GC store won't stock it.

Here's some more sound demos from the SE guys themselves

I would rather buy a Creamware Minimax instead of 12 Roland's minis

I own a waldorf sledge, yes the orange one! This is a really big box! And I love to operate this beautiful piece of hardware! Also using it to control scope synths. The tiny Roland synth is a toy instead.

UI is like almost Moog.
And what about the sound even distant Moog?
What do you like about the device?

But the price is not bad.

Ah that's gonna be a tough call. Only if the Ulimoog sounds as good as the SE-02. Some amazing sounds coming out of that little thing.

I own Studio Electronics gear, always used controllers with PCs hardware FX and synths.
This is the SE-1, just re issued and chained Mode added.

I'm going to love one of these, but concerned about lag in chain mode seeings how it's done via MIDI.

If it has lag, no problem, save me 2500 bucks and have that FAT Ass 3 multi oscillator low end.

Sweetwater knows me well for 15 years now.
They'll take a return within 30 days if I ask.

August is the due date..

Behriger D or Roland Se-02 are both interesting.

Hopefully Behringer is smart enough and adds more eurorack output / insert points.
Then all eurorack fans would dance the mambo of happiness. Small things will affect whether or not the product is selling.
In my opinion, it should add direct outputs to OSC 1,2, and 3. Also add an insert point to the filter.

Roland seems so much more interesting now.

:D

Well perskuta.

I have a Studio Electronics ATC-X, and the problem is how to write a working sysEx.
CC controls work well not a problem, but all functions are not CC below so a sysex string is needed. All other such as Roland, Yamaha, A6, etc.
I have done work CUBASE XML editors (5), but ATCX produces the problem.

For example, Midi Quest provides a long sysex string function with a LPF / HPF filter.

F0 00 00 4D 02 00 00 00 01 15 08 00 0A 00 0F 2B
06 00 0D 25 49 4C 38 3B 35 00 00 00 2C 32 2B 54
03 31 00 1C 1B 3C 0D 1D 00 15 00 2D 7C 07 77 78
7A 00 00 02 0C 03 00 01 05 7F 0D 00 40 01 40 00
00 00 01 6A 5D 01 59 00 00 f7
BA 00 00
BA 20 03
CA 7C

In fact, I do not understand why it is about long. Normally the length is about 7-14 digits.

ATC-1 SYSEX HEADER:
BYTE 1 $ F0
BYTE 2 00
BYTE 3 00
BYTE 4 4D STUDIO ELECTRONICS I.D.
BYTE 5 02 ATC-1 UNIT I.D.
BYTE 6 nn 127 = 7F DUMP REQUEST, 0 WHEN SENDING PROGS TO ATC-1
BYTE 7 00 RESERVED
BYTE 8 00 RESERVED
BYTE 9 nn 0 = WHOLE BANK, 1 = 1 PROG AT CURRENT #, 2 = EDIT BUFFER
BYTE 10 nn MUST BE $ F7 IF THIS IS A REQUEST, OTHERWISE THIS WILL BE
THE FIRST BYT OF DATE

Are you good at these sysex things, can you help?

No good at all I'm afraid.
Just know what synths use to sound like before they shrank to 1s and 0s.

Here's a chubby demo kind of.
